How the KLIA to Kuala Tembeling Jetty journey works

If you plan to continue by the 1:00 pm river boat from Kuala Tembeling Jetty, you should only choose this route if you expect to complete immigration, baggage collection and other arrival procedures at KLIA and be ready to leave the airport by 8:00 am. This gives time for the road transfer and planned arrival at the jetty by 12:30 pm, although delays can still affect the connection.

    1.5 hrs

Allow about this long for immigration and luggage collection after your flight lands.

  2. Road transfer

  3. Jetty connection

Arrive by this time. The river boat departs at 1:00 pm.

Transfer ends

The river boat is operated separately from My Little Taxi. Boat tickets and other boat charges are not included in the road transfer.

Not guaranteed

Flight delays, immigration queues, baggage delays and road traffic can affect the connection, so the 1:00 pm boat departure cannot be guaranteed.

How it works

You leave the taxi at Kuala Tembeling Jetty and continue by river boat.

  2. 02

The driver continues by road with your luggage.

  3. 03

The river boat ticket remains separate. Send your flight and boat details in advance so we can check whether the connection is practical before confirming the transfer.

Stopovers

Optional stopovers between KLIA and Taman Negara

If your flight arrives early, you may have several hours before hotel check-in or before you need to reach your onward connection. Many hotels have afternoon check-in, often around 3:00 pm, so a stopover can be a practical way to use that time instead of waiting in a hotel lobby or arriving too early at Kuala Tembeling Jetty.

When the timing suits your journey, you can add Batu Caves or Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre before continuing to Taman Negara.

When does a stopover work?

Stopovers are not available at every arrival time. Your actual flight arrival, immigration and baggage collection, and whether you are travelling to Kuala Tahan or Kuala Tembeling Jetty determine whether a stop can be included.

Common questions

KLIA to Taman Negara private transfer FAQs

How much is a private transfer from KLIA to Taman Negara?

The fare is RM550 to Kuala Tembeling Jetty or RM600 to Kuala Tahan for one private group. Petrol and highway tolls are included. Optional stopovers and the two-drop luggage arrangement are charged separately.

Do you pick up from both KLIA terminals?

Yes. Pickup is available from KLIA Terminal 1 and KLIA Terminal 2. Please provide your flight number and arrival terminal so we can plan the airport pickup.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Your 90 minutes of free airport waiting starts from the flight's actual landing time, not the scheduled arrival time. After the included 90 minutes, additional waiting is RM30 per 30 minutes. If you planned to continue by river boat, we will also recheck whether the connection is still practical based on your actual arrival.

Can I catch the 1:00 pm river boat after arriving at KLIA?

It depends on your actual arrival and how long immigration, baggage collection and leaving the airport take. The drive from KLIA to Kuala Tembeling Jetty is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours under normal traffic conditions. You should reach the jetty by 12:30 pm for the 1:00 pm river boat. Send your flight details before booking so we can check whether the connection is practical. The boat connection cannot be guaranteed.

Can I take the river boat without carrying my luggage?

Yes. With the +RM100 two-drop option, you leave the taxi at Kuala Tembeling Jetty and continue by river boat while the driver takes your luggage by road to Kuala Tahan and meets you there. The total road-transfer fare is RM650 for one private group. The river boat ticket is separate.

Can I add Batu Caves or Kuala Gandah to the transfer?

Yes, when the timing and route are suitable. Batu Caves is +RM50 and may be added to a Kuala Tahan transfer or, when timing is practical, a Kuala Tembeling Jetty transfer. Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre is +RM50 and is available only with the direct road transfer to Kuala Tahan. Both can be arranged with a Kuala Tahan transfer for +RM100, subject to your flight arrival time and travel plan.

Availability

Plan ahead for your travel date

We arrange this KLIA to Taman Negara private transfer throughout the year, subject to driver availability and suitable weather and road conditions. During the monsoon season, heavier rain can sometimes affect journey times, road conditions and onward river boat connections, so it is a good idea to check the latest conditions before you travel.

June to mid-September is usually a higher-demand period, particularly during the European summer holiday season. Driver availability can become more limited during these months, so we recommend enquiring earlier if your travel dates are already fixed.

Your transfer is confirmed only after availability and the journey details have been checked and confirmed in writing.
